Hickory Bay Farm Beef was born out of the simple question... "why does most of New Zealand's finest beef leaves our shores, while many Kiwis struggle to access truly great beef themselves?"

We reckon Kiwis deserve great beef too.

That's why instead of sending our cattle into an anonymous supply chain, we raise them here and make our beef available to you.

FAQs

  • Can I order multiple boxes

    Yes, as many as you like. We sometimes combine two 5kg boxes into one box if you're in Christchurch urban.

  • How does it come packaged?

    Each but is vacuum packed and placed inside a solid cardboard box with wool and paper based insulation, with ice packs. It copes fine if left in the shade for a few hours. Your beef is frozen when it leaves the coolstore and will ideally still be frozen when it arrives at your doorstep.

  • Will you deliver to my address?

    Yes. If you're not classed as "rural" by our courier. If unsure, use the NZ Couriers address checker link on our checkout page to confirm.

  • How long will the beef last?

    Because we vacuum pack and freeze as soon as it's labelled, if you keep it frozen, then it will last at least 9-12 months - in all reality, longer. We place the best before date on each pack.
