The Cottage is a bright 1960s bungalow, situated a short walking distance from one of NZs best surfing beaches; Hickory Bay. You'll be staying on a working farm, nestled amongst trees and native bush, with an elevated view of the pastures and coastal cliffs eastward. The remoteness is the beauty of the place.

The Cottage was historically used as managers accommodation, therefore almost every room boasts a view of the farm. The house is a calm and bright space, tastefully decorated in a fresh, fun and cheerful manner. It has a large outdoor living area- with access to the deck from almost every room; a recently renovated kitchen; unique timber-crafted bathroom; and lots of cosy spots to read a book in. Many of the original 1960s features still remain- the matai floors, timber cupboards and the steel windows. We're confident that the moment you walk in the door, you'll feel relaxed and refreshed. It's a great opportunity to disconnect from life's busy-ness, switch off your phone (seeing as there is no coverage here anyway!) and surf your brains out.

The Cabin is a quaint, cosy former shearers quarters. Before its renovation, The Cabin was used to accommodate the many shearing gangs that worked at Hickory Bay over the years. Mostly now it's about surfing as much as possible and relaxing in between. Walking into The Cabin you'll feel like you're instantly on holiday, which is kinda what it's all about, right?

You'll be staying on a working farm- in and around a re-purposed woolshed, hunkered in with trees and native bush close by and the hills and paddocks in view.

The Airstream is a quaint, cosy 1959 American made Airstream Caravan. Before its renovation, The Airstream was used as a commercial kitchen producing coffee and gourmet doughnuts. In that vein, it has modern gas hobs and stainless bench tops. It's a great space to actively relax.
